Who runs this site

Shuffledle is an online game run as a passion project. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can reach me at contact@shuffledle.co.uk.

What data is collected

When you register an account, Shuffledle stores:

• Email address - used to verify your account and for password resets.
• Password - never stored in plain text; only a salted cryptographic hash is kept.
• Display name - the username you choose, shown publicly on the Leaderboard and My Stats pages.
• Game history - your daily shuffles, match scores, and poker hand results, tied to your account.

Why this data is collected

This data is processed on the basis that it's necessary to provide the Shuffledle service to you - creating an account, letting you log in, running the daily shuffle game, and showing you and other players the leaderboards and stats the game is built around.

How long it's kept

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated game data at any time from Manage > Personal Data > Delete.

Who else sees your data

Shuffledle is hosted on Microsoft Azure (in the EU), which stores the database and runs the application. Account emails (confirmation, password reset) are sent via Azure Communication Services, also a Microsoft service. Neither is used for anything beyond running this site - your data is never sold or shared with anyone else.

Your chosen display name, match scores, and poker hands are visible to anyone who visits the public Leaderboard and My Stats pages. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Cookies

Shuffledle only uses strictly necessary cookies - to keep you logged in, protect forms against forgery, and route your connection to the correct server. There are no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, so no cookie consent banner is needed.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• See what's stored about you - download your data as a file.
• Delete your account - permanently erase your account and game history.
• Correct your details - update your email or display name from your account settings.
• Ask a question or raise a concern - contact contact@shuffledle.co.uk directly.

If you're not satisfied with how a concern is handled, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
